I will dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
